Anomaly Scan

This is a detailed scan at 19-24 weeks of pregnancy.

During the scan we examine each part of the fetal body, measure fetal growth, determine the position of the placenta and assess the amount of amniotic fluid. Special attention is paid to the brain, face, spine, heart, stomach, bowel, kidneys and limbs.

If any abnormalities are detected the significance of the findings will be discussed with the sonographer and you will be refered to your local Hospital fetal medicine team.

All Obstetrics scans are performed by a highly experienced sonographer who worked at Unversity College London Hospital and Kings college Hospital Fetal Medicine Unit.

Please Note:

There is a £20 surcharge for twins & multiple pregnancies due to the extra time required in the scan.

£20 deposit is required to confirm the booking.

What do I need to bring with me at my appointment?: Please bring along your hospital notes and reports.
How many Guests can come with me?: We are happy for family and friends to attend, however due to limitations in space and seating, we are able to accommodate up to 2 people with the patient.
Who will perform the scan?: All Obstetrics scans are performed by a highly experienced sonographer who worked at Unversity College London Hospital and Kings college Hospital Fetal Medicine Unit.
All of our sonographers are qualified with diagnostic obstetric and General ulltrasound scanning experience and work within the NHS alongside their role with Ultrasound Partners Ltd.
Do I still need to attend NHS appintments?: Yes, our services are a complementary service, which works alongside the NHS. Please note, our scans do not replace any of your NHS scans.
Would you advise me of any abnormalities?: During your appointment a general well-being check is performed on the baby, in an event of any abnormality being detected, we will discuss this with you and provide a full report for you to forward to your health practitioner.
